You didn't become a tradie to spend your nights measuring PDFs.

ABOUT US.

Built around a simple idea.

We’ve spent more nights than we can count measuring plans, pricing work, and helping projects stay on budget, for other people's businesses.

Somewhere along the way, we noticed the same thing over and over: good builders losing evenings and weekends to takeoffs, not because they weren't capable of it, but because there simply wasn't time in the day. Plans piling up. Quotes going out late. Jobs lost not on price, but on speed.

There's nothing wrong with doing your own takeoffs. You can. You can also do your own bookkeeping, build your own website and service the work ute. The question is whether that's the best use of your time.

My EstiMate gives busy construction businesses another option: Outsource the measuring. Keep control of the pricing. You get usable quantities. You apply the rates, suppliers, labour assumptions and margins that make sense for your business.

And that quote that's been sitting in your inbox? It finally gets moving.

Our goal is simple: help Kiwi tradies quote faster, without another software subscription to learn.

FRED

FOUNDER + SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Fred is the founder and Quantity Surveyor behind My EstiMate. He brings 20 years of quantity surveying experience across civil, residential and commercial construction, having worked across main contractors, subcontractors and consultancies. It means the person measuring your job understands construction from more than one side of the table.

MEG

CLIENT CARE

Meg is Fred’s wife, business partner and resident organiser. She looks after the admin, keeps the businessy bits in check, makes sure clients get what they need when they need it, and, most importantly, keeps Fred sufficiently caffeinated. Think of her as the person making sure everything runs smoothly while Fred gets stuck into the plans.

DIESEL

PROJECT MANAGER

Diesel oversees day-to-day operations, keeps a close eye on workplace morale and ensures all projects are progressing to schedule. He’s also responsible for enforcing one of My EstiMate’s strictest company policies: if a toastie is made, the cheese tax must be paid in full before work can commence. No exceptions. Normal business procedure.
